Is there such a thing as a “Climate Event”?

The term “Event” can only be attributed to “Weather” because it occurs over a short period of time. A tornado lasts for just a few minutes, so a Tornado can’t be a “Climate Event” it is a “Weather Event”.
When you have a “Weather Event” you have to look at the conditions at the time to see what caused it. This has been an unusually cool spring, if you are going to blame global warming shouldn’t it have been unusually warm?

PDF Layers in Obama’s Birth Certificate

What’s plausible is that somewhere along the way — from the scanning device to the PDF-creation software, both of which can perform OCR (optical character recognition) — these partial/pseudo-text images were created and saved. What’s not plausible is that the government spent all this time manufacturing Obama’s birth certificate only to commit the laughably rookie mistake of exporting the layers from Photoshop, or whatever photo editing software they are meant to have used. It’s likely that whoever scanned the birth certificate in Hawaii forgot to turn off the OCR setting on the scanner. Let’s leave it at that.

What the?

PROOF!!! Obama Birth Certificate Fraud
I did this, I opened it in Illustrator and it’s in friggin layers.
Here is the link to the pdf lets see how long before they take it down or flatten or rasterize it.

EPA Shuts Down Drilling in Alaska

The EPA’s appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project. Environmental groups were thrilled by the ruling.

Earth Day Smurf Day

Originally it was about stopping pollution and conservation which I am all for. Then for the last decade or so it was all about ‘Global Warming” now if you go to earthday.org they are hiding the global warming stuff. They do have a footprint calculator but its not a “Carbon” footprint calculator. I took the quiz to see what my footprint is and unfortunately it will take 10.9 planets to sustain my lifestyle. Evidently because I eat meat, have running water, use electricity, drive an SUV and have a bunch of kids I am still destroying the planet, but at least “Global Warming” wasn’t part of i

Snow kicks off Earth Week

Local Detroit communities scrambled to send out salt trucks while warning that carbon-spewing trucks are destroying the planet, and local schools prepared to scare the kiddies with the movie Carbon Nation — assuming schools didn’t have a snow day.

Justices skeptical of states’ global warming lawsuit

USA Today WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court appeared ready to rule that federal judges cannot set limits on greenhouse gas emissions, after a majority of justices suggested Tuesday that such disputes over global warming are better left to Congress and federal regulators. Five power companies, including American Electric Power, are …

EPA bureaucrat tap dances during testimony

It’s clear that the GOP wants to eliminate the EPA’s current attempt/ability to regulate greenhouse gases (CO2) and, here, coal-ash, and is using its newly acquired power in the House to call hearings, demand/compel Obama administration officials to testify, and expose the job-killing nature of the EPA’s regulations. In other words, this is how politics works. The liberal media’s lack of coverage of this “inconsistency” in word versus deed with the Obama EPA demonstrates how in-the-tank the media is for the ’12 re-election. Ideology is more important than jobs.

Just 2 months till the days start getting shorter

It’s April 16, 2011 and here in Minnesota we woke up to a fresh coating of snow. I was hoping maybe to do some grilling this weekend but that seems ridiculous now. The lakes up north are still frozen and it looks like they won’t be opening up anytime soon. Opening fishing this year might have to be an ice fishing contest.

Bird Brains and Others Defend Michael Mann

ATI’s FOIA request is not on behalf of government, but of taxpayers, who have the right to know how and where their dollars are spent – or misspent. “Academic freedom” is not a legitimate exemption, any more than “bureaucratic freedom” is an acceptable exemption for state government employees. The coverage of state universities is very clear in Virginia’s Freedom of Information laws.

Global Warming Hysteria: “You’be Been Had!”

Let’s set a few things straight. The whole idea that carbon dioxide is the main cause of the recent global warming is based on a guess that was proved false by empirical evidence during the 1990s. But the gravy train was too big, with too many jobs, industries, trading profits, political careers, and the possibility of world government and total control riding on the outcome. So rather than admit they were wrong, the governments, and their tame climate scientists, now outrageously maintain the fiction that carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant.

The EPA Should Regulate Itself

The EPA employees 17,000 bureaucrats and everyone one of them emits approx. 1/2 ton of CO2 a year just by breathing. That adds up to only 8.5 tons of CO2, but if you add all the CO2 they emit commuting back and forth to work the EPA is responsible for way more than 25,000 tons of the deadly CO2 being ejected into the atmosphere every year. Of course if they did tax themselves for emitting CO2 the American people will be the ones that pay for it.
