I think there is a parallel between Copernicus and Climate Deniers, its just the opposite of what MPR is saying. The officials of the Scientific Community, the Main Stream Press, Academia and yes even the Church are all on the global warming band wagon. It's just a few brave scientists and a few bloggers who are willing to stand up and say the charts are going the wrong way.

For Copernicus, A 'Perfect Heaven' Put Sun At Center
By Elmer Beauregard

I don't know about you but I'm getting tired of the main stream press calling us flat earthers. This morning I heard this story on MPR equating the Climate deniers to people who believed the earth was the center of the universe. (which the Bible never says by the way)
Here is a quote.

Westman says any sophisticated scientific argument that seems to defy common sense will be hard for nonscientists to accept. Take the strange weather patterns we're beginning to see around the world. How does a nonscientist decide if that's related at all to climate change?

"It depends on which authorities you trust," says Westman. "If you trust the scientific community, then you might be willing to say it has something to do with global warming. But it's not because you go to your laboratory and do experiments."

I think there is a parallel between Copernicus and climate deniers, its just the opposite of what MPR is saying.
Just like in Copernicus' day, the heads of scientific institutions, politicians, the main stream press, academia and yes even the church all believe in the same thing, only thing different is now its global warming. Luckily for us, there are a few brave scientists and bloggers who like Copernicus are willing to stand up and say "the charts are going the wrong way".
