The popularity of Vikings is at an all time high. There's the Vikings TV series on the History Channel, the Movie Thor and all of those Capital One commercials. Because of this the Minnesota Vikings football team has decided to go retro with their new Vikings uniform, way retro!

These uniforms incorporate more authentic Vikings features such as using wolf fur for padding. Coincidentally you can now hunt wolves in Minnesota so that works out great.

The biggest change is, instead of just painting horns on the helmets the horns will actually stick out like they used to. But don't worry they will be made of foam so they will actually help prevent concussions.

Coach Frazier said "Why should all our fans, like Ragnar, have all the fun of dressing up like actual Vikings when our players are dressed like a bunch of sissies?"

The new uniforms are creating a huge buzz, so much so that Brett Favre is thinking of coming back.
