The House Energy and Commerce Committee Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality has canceled its hearing set for today called, "Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?" because of the freezing rain and snow in Washington D.C.. Also Al Gore had to cancel a showing of his movie on the campus of Maryville University in St Louis last night because of the winter storm.

This is similar to what happened in the now infamous 1996 Newsweek Global Warming issue that hit the news stands the same time as the blizzard of the centurty. Newsweek defending its position blamed the blizzard on Global Warming. This of course slowed down the whole ant-global warming movement. Coincidentally this is when they started calling it "Climate Change".
This perfectly illustrates my "Second Law of Global Warming" where God reminds us who controls the weather. Very "Tower of Babel" like don't you think.
